Baton laws in toronto?

hey everyone...just a quick question about the extendable baton laws in Toronto, Ontario.

I saw movies where police officers carry out their extendable batons for their personal protection. Now i know this is a just a movie and that they're officers in the movie, but i was wondering if anyone knew if its legal to carry one of these batons in the streets of Markham, Toronto, Ontario. I hear a lot of my classmates selling these things, and i have no idea where they get it from, but if a police found them with one, would they get jailed for it?

p.s. Am i on the wrong site? LOL is this site mainly based on United States' police departments?
