Laws vary from state to state, but in general, no, there isn't.

If you're thinking to use the law as a way to force your parents to do what you want, you will find no help here.

Until you are 18, your parents make the rules.

And if you read between the lines, you'll see that "fiance" actually translates into "pedophile".

Sounds like the father of the baby needs a lawyer.

Aunt and Uncle still make the rules.

Yes, they can prevent BabyDaddy from seeing BabyMama.

No, BabyMamma can't do anything to change that.

Yes, they can have him arrested for statutory rape.

    No, BabyMamma can't stop it.

Yes, they can have a restraining order placed on BabyDaddy.

Yes, BabyDaddy can be sued by Aunt and Uncle for paternity and child support.

Txinvestigator: What would that help? She and her fiance want to keep there baby.
Combining the phrase "pregnant 16 year old" and the word "fiance" is a guaranteed recipe for disaster.

Tell the 16 year old that she doesn't know half of what she thinks she knows, and less than 10% of what she actually needs to know.

Yes, I know she won't listen.

Mcsap: Thats what I was thinking.

Curt: I liked the way you put all that. It was entertaining.

    Anyways....

He is my Uncle. She is his fiance. What do you mean the aunt and uncle can press charges. They are the aunt and uncle I was talking about.

And her parents wont press charges.

    They already said that.

I wouldn't know that unless you explain it. You didn't.

Somehow, I knew this was going to be alot more convoluted than it first appeared. I'm sure that somewhere, somehow, a trailer also figures into this story.

And her parents wont press charges. They already said that.
    Then why are you asking?

Just to find out if WE know?

I'm about done with this one.

They are selfish then. They already made several stupid mistakes, and should not make the baby pay the price too. ADOPTION.

A baby is not a pet puppy. It needs a LOT of care from TWO parents that can provide for it. I don't mean live in a big house or drive a nice car, just to properly provide and care for it.

A 16 year old will be giving up a LOT of her teen/social life. She will find it HARD to finsih school and chances are...she will get pregnant again. The child stands a good chance of being brought up in a fractured home life , shuffled around by who can " care " for it.

If a child cannot PROPERLY care for a baby , the baby would be BETTER OFF with a loving couple who can provide a GOOD home.

Giving a child up for adoption is neither a sin nor a shameful thing to do. It is carefully thought out and the needs of the child are considered over the wants of the " parents".
