Need Help!!!! Asap!!!!!

i lost my state i.d. a while back and im trying to get a new job but you NEED an i.d to work. i have a warrant for no drivers license and i was wondering if i go to get my i.d. will i get arrested? some of my friends tell me if i got to another county to get my i.d. they wont arrest me and others tell me if im just going to get my i.d. they wont look up warrants but there not cops so im not really trusting them! i NEED my i.d. to work and i need to work so i can pay my warrant. can someone help me please!!!

Second of all, you having a warrant for "no driver's license"? :confused:

Go get your warrant cleared up, set up a payment plan for your fine, do something. Then get a state issued ID, and take a bus to work.

Where do you live, nikki? I can only speak for Michigan, but - no - they don't arrest you at the DMV because you have a warrant. There's nobody AT the DMV with the authority TO arrest you.

However, if you have an outstanding warrant, some states have laws prohibiting them from issuing you a driver's license and/or state ID.

Your sarcastic attitude isn't neccessary. counihan was giving your some sage advice.

Your best bet is to make contact and set up a payment plan now. Tell them the situation, tell them you can only pay, say, $20 week, but want to clear up the warrant.

Nobody can help you if you are not willing to help yourself.

Welcome to life in the adult world. You made your decisions to drive, got caught, and now must pay for your mistakes. Take the bus to work. We don't need you driving anyways.

Personally, I hope you get arrested. You've avoided the justice system this long, eventually you will have to pay the piper- it's only a matter of time.

Of course, It's always more fun if you are out with some friends, get stopped in your car, and they take you to jail and tow your car.

Then again, you could just act like an adult, contact the court to take care of the fines and have the warrant removed.

In Pa , the trade in value is one day in jail for every $40 . So a $400 fine only takes 10 days to " pay " off.

Indiana had LE posted at all of the BMV's for a while, not sure if that's still the case or not.
