ballistic vest, how do you keep it cool?

I had to wear the hard creamic plate armor on a SWAT callout once ( will stop 30:06 AP) for 8 hrs in the summer. That was HOT.

Otherwise , I just sweat and get on with life.

Better to rehydrate and to need a transfusion.

When Charles Moose was our chief, he did at least one thing I liked. All command personnel, including himself had to wear a full uniform, including vest while at work. Every cop assigned to the chief's office work full battle regalia as the ones in all the precincts. So everyone had to put up with the same discomfort that the working people had to do.

Then we got a former LAPD deputy chief and that all ended. They all went back to civilian clothes.....:rolleyes:
