    Chief's Agencies NJ

    Hello everyone,

I just joined today mainly because I have a question about Chief's Agencies in NJ. I am trying to become a LEO and have taken the Civil Service test and just today took the Wayne PD test. My question is, is there anyway to find out which departments use chief's test because I've been trying to find out so I could know which departments I need to go to and apply as opposed to waiting for a department to contact me from the civil service results (assuming I did well enough).

Thanks for the help and for your services.

Look at the NJCS application you filled out. See all those boxes where you check of the agencies you are willing to work for? Any agency not on there is a chiefs test.

Are you talking about when I filled out the application for the Civil Service Test? Cause if you the one for Jersey asks which counties you would except employment in, not which agencies. So there is not anything that can be used from the application to determine which agencies use Chief's test. If that is not what you are talking about, then I am not quite sure what the NJCS application you are talking about is.

Thanks for the reply though and hopefully someone else can give me more information.

Joey, can they be both? Can a department use the Chief's test and also hire off a list? I think Englewood Cliff's is one of those departments, but I'm not sure.

Find an older one. Not this past years. Search the net. I see what your saying because this year they are different. Also if you end up in trouble, check out the NJ Lawmen sight. Great info for applicants there.

Englewood is currently a Chiefs Test. Not sure about the history though. Additionally they are hiring 9-12 in July for the next county academy.
