police test questions

hi this is my first time posting a thread. i am preparing to become a police officer. i am taking my exam on June 14. i have two quick question for any police officer to help me with.

1. you are a police officer who is patrolling in a quit downtown area late at night when you hear popping sounds ahead of you. What is the FIRST course of action for you to take?

A. inform dispatch of the situation and request back up.

B. keep you hand on your gun and slowly and carefully approach to investigate were the popping noises came from and what it was.

C. none of the above.

D. ignore it and continue on patrol.

2. you are a police officer who is called to a local bar for a fight. when you arrive on the scene you notice that there is already two police officer on the scene arresting the two parties for fighting. you go into the bar to get information from the bar tender who witnessed the fight. the bar tender tells you that the fight started over an argument. the tender tells you that he called the police and took out his basball bat and hit one of the parties involved in the fight to separate it. What is the next best course of action for you to take?

A. take down the information in your memo pad and arrest the bar tender for hitting the one of the parties with the baseball bat.

B. take down the information in your memo pad and thank the bar tender for giving you the information.

C. none of the above.

D. discipline the bar tender for separating the fight.

Wouldn't it be better for you to answer the questions on your own test than us do it for you ? Nobody answered any of my test questions for me.

Sorry I don't think that any of LEO would answer this. The reason is that by those questions they want to analyse how ressourcefull you are, if you have a good judgement and if you have a good analytical capacity. Giving you the answers, it would false the test. You and they would not know if you are fit for the job....

You've got until June 14 to figure out if you want to be a LEO or not. If you do, answer these questions yourself:rolleyes:. You are your own resource most of the time out in the field. Consider this a baby step into this line of work.:D

Here's my answers:

1. Take your squad car back to the mechanic and chew him out for not fixing it right the last three times it's been in the shop. Threaten him with physical violence if he can't fix it right.

2. Tell him to pitch the bat into the dumpster and pretend it never happened. Less paperwork that way.

Follow my advice and you should be hired in a heartbeat.

yes i think the answer are 1.A. 2.A. i was trying to just get help to see if i was right or wrong. but i cant get it. please people don't post mean responses i was just asking to make sure i was ok. that is just not nice.

Okay. Wow!! You answered as to how YOU would handle those situatoins. There are obviously 2 answers, a throw away and a wrong answer.

I got a better idea: instead of "mean" responses, how about no responses.
