Threatening Email

I have recieved a threatening email from a girl on the internet stating twice in the same email "I will hurt you, I am going to HURT you!". Then I had blocked her from that email. And recieved another email on a different email address I have stating that I am a "*****" "Trashy" "*****" etc. What are my options.. I do feel harassed & threatened by this woman. I personally, have done nothing to her. I believe it's a rage from jealousy. What do you suggest I do? And what kind of legal action, if any can I take?

I do know this girl from seeing her around, she is in my area :confused:

Ignore, filter, and delete her emails and move on with a happy life. I personally don't even open an email if I don't recognize the source.

Change your email address. Don't reply, "But it's my email, if I change it then it's like she wins."

If she had a key to your door and she kept coming inside, would you change your locks? Change your email address.

No matter how old you are, This Is DRAMA you don't need. We have only got your side of the story to go on. All the GREAT suggestions have been made on how to deal with the computer stuff.

I would suggest you change your circle of friends to exclude the ones who revolve around her universe. Just cut out all the DRAMA.:eek:

No legal action I can see unless you can prove something otherwise. It would be a stretch for me to write a report with what is here so far.

OK Thanks for the advice.
But I think you did some selective reading.

I blocked her from one email. She then emailed my other.
I have several emails.

& To change my email will be difficult because it's directly off my website ( porno website name deletedI get a lot of business emails from there.

I guess, getting 2 emails from her which one she mentions TWICE she wants to hurt me, the second time all in caps.

The second email consisted of graphic name calling, essay style. I have not responded back, once. So whomever said I was giving into the drama, rethink your statement. I am simply trying to make her stop. Before it does get out of hand. I am NOT this girls' friend nor is she associated with any of my friends.. she almost is a harasser/stalker I haven't a clue what the obsession is.

Print everything out with dates on it. File it. Get on with your life and unless she shows up at your door...foreget about her. She will soon tire of your no replies and move on to another person of interest.
