thanks. you have been a great help. is this website just for joking around or what?
No. That's a side bonus. There are so many acronyms in Law Enforcement. These acronyms very from state to state, county to county. If it is an official acronym used by the FDA (US Food and Drug Association), or the HHS (US Department of Health & Human Resources), it may be listed on either of those sites.

You should post the context of your question if you expect a reasonable and informed answer.

For: Godirectly2jail What Do You Not Understand About My Question? If You Are Suppose To Be An Officer You Will Know What I Am Talking About.
I Just Need To Know What The "i" Stands For In Ibac. Maybe You Missed That Part In Schooling? You Can Just Say You Don't Know.
If You Had Read My Question It States "blood Alcohol Content".
Maybe if you read my post you will understand.

Lilly look up at my answer and click on the link. I looked BAC up in Blacks Law Dictionary 1997 edition and BAC stands for Blood Alcohol Count. There was no reference to IBAC anywhere in BLD.

I Did. I Could Be Online All Day Long On Those Websites Trying To Find It. This Is Why I Am On Here. If You Pull Someone Over For A Dui And You Give Him A Breathalizer Test. There Are Two Different Kinds Of Tests. One That Will Go From 0.0 Bac To Lets Say 0.40bac. Then There Is Another Kind Of Test That Will Go From 0.0ibac To Lets Say 0.40ibac. Does This Mean The Same? What Is The Difference. I Just Thought That An Officer Would Know This. That Is What I Am Trying To Figure Out. What The "i" Means. That Should Not Vary From State To State Or County To County.
Thank You Valycop
What my learned collegues are trying to impart to you, young lady, is that there are MANY acronyms in society, and law enforcement, and IBAC could mean different things to different officers depending on where you are in the US.
There IS a personal alcohol content-sensing device available on the market called the iBAC, (like iPod, iMac, etc) that is available for the average citizen to purchase, but the results of that machine are not admissable in court.
