Ok, I'll say it -
:D
If it came down to it and you had to choose between being an LEO and staying with your husband, what would you do?

Also btw, you will need to change your screen name...
Okay, I'll switch it to futureLEO. Hopefully that username isn't being used by anyone yet. ANyone else care to add anything?..
Female cops are HOT! :D
I am a Paladin, like the warriors of old, ready to stand on the line to keep others safe... A Sheep Dog, ready to protect the herd from advancing wolves!

1)Whether people do (or do not) work well with you in LE depends on your abilities as an officer, not whether you are female or male....at least in my department
2)That all depends on the officer's wife....some are ok with their husbands having female partners, some are not
3)Female officers, no matter how good-looking they are, seem to get more crap on the job, specifically from other females (especially if they're drunk). The only other problem I can recall is breaking up a loud bachelor party and the guys there assumed the female officer was a stripper - but I guess that could happen to a guy at a bachelorette party too......:D
Happened to me. I ended up losing my fiance over this job. I had to choose between him and being a cop. The rest is history.
As far as getting hit on...yes, it will happen. But as Cat_Doc pointed out, word will get out.
And yes, I frequently get hit on by guys on traffic stops. I know they're just trying to weasel out of a ticket, and it doesn't bother me. I've found that it actually works to your advantage sometimes...I guess if they're already hitting on you, they find it hard to turn around and act like jerks and give you a hard time when you issue them the summons. :D
The brain???
Sadly I've seen that before ninja . . . for both sexes, as you'd know, in this career, you need the support of your significant other, otherwise it's an up hill battle.
In any case 1girlcop . . . . good luck on your future endeavours.

In my Police Academy class we were divided into squad. My squad was made up of 4 males and 4 females. The squad leader was a female.
Our squad as a whole did very well with both male and female members contributing to the success. I don't think that gender had much impact on the group. However with that said I will also say that one memeber of the squad was not united with the squad which made it painful for everyone.
Be aware that being a COP is tough on a marriage, mine was rocked hard by it and I have been married for 20 years...
