Would anyone be willing to help me? I am a student.

I have an interview assignment for my CJ101 class whereby I need to interview someone working in the system, i.e. a police officer. Could you please answer the following questions to the best of your ability?

First, I will need your name and title, along with your agency contact information, this is mandatory for the assignment and if you do not feel comfortable providing this please pass on this interview.

Following that I need the following questions answered.

How long have you worked at this position?
What are the day to day activities of your current position?
What is your educational background and what are the entry level requirements of position?
What training was required for this position?
Did you have other work experience prior this job?
Why did you chose this career?
List some of the negative aspects of the job?
List some of the positive aspects of the job?
What do you think of future opportunities in your field?
What screening process did you go through?
How competitive was it to gain entry into this agency?
    Would you recommend this field?

I understand some may not be comfortable posting this information on this internet message board. If you would like to help me you can either post here or email me at Colt2042@gmail.com

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Contact your local police department and do it in person. You're supposed to "interview" someone, not have them fill out a questionaire via email.

Don't be offended. You're not the first person to ask for homework help and you won't be the last.

I actually went to my local police department and the woman at the front desk told me police officers aren't allowed to do interviews or give out any information to me.

    Oh well.

Have you tried jumping in your car and blowing the doors off the first squad car you see?:D:D:D

If that doesn't work, try your county's Sheriff's Dept. or your nearest State Police/Highway Patrol post.

It is quite possible that the agency has a policy restricting employees from giving interviews. Ask to speak with their PIO (Public Information Officer), who would be able to assist you and guide you in the right direction.

If you don't have any luck with that, try a neighboring jurisdiction...they may allow interviews.

    Good luck with your assignment.
