If your tint is legal in your state, does that protect you while driving through another? (where it would be illegal?)

Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice.
My new hero!
If the tint is illegal in the state you're driving through, and even if you may get the ticket dismissed in traffic court, you still would have to go through the effort of pleading not guilty, and appearing at court.

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
The legal tint limit in the state of IA is 70% (35% with a doctor's excuse). So if someone from MO, where the legal limit is 35% drives into my state, it is still illegal here even though it is legal in MO. I do not usually cite if it is legal in the person's home state. However it does make great PC for legal interdictions!:D
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"
NYS is 70% light transmittance as well.
