    Post SR-22 filed?

Quick question, Not sure if it should go in the background section or not but...

I will be soon required to file for an SR-22 for driving with a lapse insurance and causing an accident. Is there a rule against hiring applicants with a SR-22 under their drivers license? As far as I am aware of I will still have a valid drivers license long as I maintain insurance.

I will be applying in one week. Thanks in advance.

There's no rule against it, however your past driving behavior and failure to maintain financial responsibility will hurt you during the background investigation.

    Question

Could it be grounds for disqualification? Thanks for the reply.

Of course. Anything can be grounds for a DQ, you are competing for a position- so the most qualified applicants will be hired first.

My agency wouldn't DQ you for it, however, if all other things are equal, we would hire the driver that has never let their insurance lapse.

Also, your truthful explanation would help your case. Background investigators will know a load of crap when they hear it.

So this is all recent? That's not going to look good for you at all. I'd suggest putting a few years of good, responsible driving under your belt before applying if you want any reputable agency to give you serious consideration.
