It irritates me when someone doesn't get the answers they want, then decide to be a smartass to our verified members- many of whom actually do hiring interviews and all of whom have been through the process.

The fact that you think you are a great candidate doesn't mean crap to me. You have a history of integrity issues. You plead down a felony arrest and served jail time. If I was on the board, I'd pass you over in a heartbeat.

Like others have said, it's not about meeting minimum qualifications, it's about excelling. Most people I've seen apply are overqualified for the position. In my academy, all had bachelors degrees, many had a history of working in law enforcement. None had a criminal record.

Good luck to you. Let us know when you get hired so we can admit we were wrong and kiss your butt. I'm guessing I'll never see you as a verified on this board- but that only comes from my years of experience in the LE hiring process.

I do realize the above and let me rephrase, I’m asking what is looked for in a cop to be above and beyond, not snide remarks. I’m not here to flame up the forums, I have honest questions and I thought that this is what a “forum Venue” was for the discussion and transfer of information.

So my chances are slim to none, still what is there to loose, it’s my money my time. I’m sure you get people in here all the time asking the same questions different shades but generally the same. Just bear with me and if you don’t like what I’m asking or I for god only know why, perhaps my bravado. Then it’s still a free country and does something else with your time. But if you have constructive ideas, thoughts, rants, ect. I’m looking forward to reading them.

Would the circumstances of the arrest play any part? The “Victim” is still my best friend. Post the arrest he tried to revert a previous statement he made to the police.

PS thanx for the grammar and punctuation lesson u pwown all noobs. ROFLMAO

Actually you have recieved more patience than most. The problem here looks like you have already answered you own questions before coming here and were looking for some sort of validation.
