He is just stating his opinion - no big deal. Ignore if you don't like him.
I have to agree, the polygraph is garbage science for liberal arts majors. The very reason why the National Academy of Sciences doesn't accept it as even a minor science - nor any court in any state.

Lmao! Never even realized we had that feature here. I guess one of these days I will have to play with the toys on here.

KrisSAU,
I posted a responsive reply to leighsmithfluk's inquiry. Why does this bother you? If you believe that anything in my post was untrue or otherwise misleading, please feel free to explain.
Polygraph screening is an issue of great interest to law enforcement applicants, and it is resulting in many truthful applicants being wrongly accused of deception.
Your statement that I have been banned at most police sites is untrue. And my references to AntiPolygraph.org and/or my writings are not spam advertising. AntiPolygraph.org is a non-profit website. All information is free. Our purpose is to help those who face polygraph screening to protect themselves against the very real risk of a false positive outcome. And we have the support of many current and former law enforcement officers.
Respectfully,
George W. Maschke

Being someone who is a cop and not a wannabe, i know the pro's and cons of it...however, spamming is my issue w/ him, not the polygraph.
After my many years in higher education and working in the field that I do, I also learned a great deal as well. Maybe we can sit down for coffee sometime and I can teach you a thing or two about what i've learned. I'm always willing to help those who want to learn more about our work.

well, gee....he posts that link in 90% of his posts...looks like spam.
As for the east coast, I'm sure we don't have room for the lower west coast life forms. We have a few standards here ;)
But if you are ever near here, do come say hello. We can give you a tour and teach you a few things about our unit. Stump, come on down and we can swap a few horror stories as well. You can check out our new state of the art dispatch center. Better than our offices!

O.k. so who is gonna address the issue with him about when they bring in the needles?
My advice just relax...be honest...it will all be over before you know it...So don't sweat it.

Polygraph testing seems to be a very popular topic recently. I can attest that polygraphs are indeed very flawed and definately should not be taken too seriously. I personally know of two police officers who lied about disqualifying issues on their polygraphs and they both passed. Neither one mentioned using any sort of cheating techniques, they said that they just remained calm and cool. I personally don't know why many police departments have so much faith in them. It seems that any cop in the know seems to be privy to the fact that they really are a waste. What is really scary is the thought that if I know of two police officers who admit to their disgraceful behavior, I wonder how many have done the same but would never make mention of it. I state this with no disrespect towards polygraph examiners, and I surely don't want to offend anyone.
