You wrecked your car which you can't drive in the rain. There is NO law that says ANY cop HAS to give you a ticket. One didn't , one did. So what ? Have you gotten a ticket EVERY time you have been pulled over ? Be glad they BOTH didn't cite you and get better tires, slow down in the rain, get another car or garage it !

From your initial post, it is clear that while the county officer stopped to check on your welfare, they did not do an investigation of the accident. The state officer is the one who completed an accident report and issued tickets based on that investigation.

As for asking for license, registration and insurance, that is needed to complete the accident report , aside from any ticket.

If you got into an accident in bad conditions, its a safe bet that there were MANY accidents that day, and the officers may have been running from call to call...not much time for pleasantries on scene in those types of situations.

BlackIce, just let it drop please. Nothing is being accomplished here anymore. If you plan to stay with RP, I suggest you drop this entire issue immediately. You now have your answers, and nothing is going to change that you already got your ticket. Go fight it if you feel it was wrong, but arguing anymore here isn't going to remove the ticket from your record.
