Can cops shoot you if you run?

That's what I figure too, lieu, but hell, some of these people are thinking of shooting this guy....
Now, assuming you would take cover behind the bullet magnet and you were armed with taser, would you have that in your hand first, or the gun? (does that make any sense?)
I would think in this situation it would be better to taser someone from behind cover than to expose yourself to the open in order to get close enough to use OC.

its a sticky situation, one that really has no right or wrong answer. it all depends on the tools available to the officer at the time and the level of their training.

You can shoot them if they run but only if they step on the cracks in the pavement, if they don't you have to let them go....

And I still say "TASER TASER TASER"!!! (Y'all have to say it 3 times when you deploy, right? Or is it just my dept?)

that in itself must suck. how can they give you permission to do something but then say we dont want you to do it? why do they discourage you?
