I don't believe you are racist, but I can't understand why different races drive differently.Originally posted by jeff92k7
No, TX. I'm not a racist.
I was simply using the obvious differences in culture as a way to make some distinctions about driving habits. The liberals can argue all they want but the fact remains that different cultures produce different types of people.

Please don't read more into my comments than was there. I was just making an observation. Like I said before, my guess is that it has something to do with the culture that one is raised in.
If you go down into some of the older parts of Oak Cliff, you will find different driving styles and more violations of certain traffic offenses than you would in Highland Park and vice versa. If one is raised in Highland Park, he would be more accustomed to the "acceptable" violations in that part of the area than if he were to drive through Oak Cliff.
The cop gave you a ticket for squealing your tires...on your birthday? This is ridiculous. I told a friend of mine thats works at our local department about your situation, and they all got a good laugh. As for having your own car at the age of 16...no big deal. I got my first car when I was 15 and I couldn't even drive it. It was also nicer than both of my parents vehicles. Besides in my daily routine of delivering pizza I encounter more stupid 30 year old drivers than 16 year old drivers. Seasoned drivers are often worse, because they have been making the same mistake for years.
30 year olds make mistakes too, but NHTSA statistics show drivers age 16-19, and senior drivers who are 75+, cause 5 times more crashes than the average driver.
You can't explain away hard and fast statistics. These drivers mistake and whether it be lack of experience or lack of reflexes, they can't get out of the mistkes they make.

In time we hate that which we often fear.

Since we are talking about experience driving, I'd like to add I've been driving around a Ride On John Deere Lawn Mower, Tops out at ab out 7 MPH, and riding my bike which can top at about 30 in most extreme cases. I think I have you all here.
