Using Marijuana for Religious Purposes

As most of you know I use Marijuana for medical purposes but I hear of people using marijuana for religious purposes, saying that it is legal and promoting it.
I recieved an e-mail this morning and would like to share part of it because this is what made me post this thread....

As an enjoyer of the holy herb who takes the pulse of

charges. We're 'it,' in my opinion.

With the recent success of two cases, one for 5 pounds
in Atlanta, Georgia, and one for 5 joints here in
Hawai'i at the Honolulu Airport, I can honestly say
that we have the winning formula for success. How can
I say that? Because in both cases the gentlemen
involved joined the THC Ministry AFTER they were
arrested and we still won their case! This formula
works 'in reverse' now, too. Imagine that.

Now in you guys professional opinions is this a crock or what?

Well I did hear of a case where the judge said it was allowed for religious purposes..but then if thats the case we should allow middle eastern men to beat and kill their wives if they commit adultury? (since that's their culture)..btw what ailment are you using it for?

I have had two spinal sugeries, one at C-4 C-5 which was a bone graft fusion and another at L5 S1 a BAK Cage fusion which didn't take very well so I have an Oregon Medical Marijuana card for chronic pain.....

Yea I was reading that website lol what a joke..as in pathetic ;p Anyway I'd still arrest a guy even if he had that stupid card. Whether he got released or not wasnt my problem but at least he doesnt have his weed anymore :P

I became addicted to pain pills and it was nothing nice, just like Heroin. Taking more and more and if I ran out I would get "sick", fever, cramps and all that go with withdrall from Opiates... Just like pain pills, after a while you do not get the "buzz" it just helps to manage the pain and there is no real "high"... If I had no relief then I would not be able to do anything at all but lay down on my back with pain. I really don't smoke that much at all maybe a gram and a half a day. What do you think about the medical use of the stuff?

rofl no the only religion that offically uses it is ras tafari which is jamacian.. anyway in holland you can only have a very very small amount on your person legally otherwise you're in trouble.

i'm in the middle..i mean i hate the drug since i can remember but if it helps i guess i don't want to see someone struggle to even get out of bed.. i just find it odd how inhaling a smoke can do that..why not just turn it into a pill..like extract it or something

They have a pill it's called Marinol or something like that and from what I hear it's not as effective as smoking it. hey if they came out with something that helped my pain and it came from Oreo cookies I would stop smoking pot and do the Oreo extract!!! But then again I smoke tobacco also........ Very bad habit I know.....

Zendik, I apologize because I am ignorant to your entire case and whatnot...but I have a question. Are you a police officer now or is that your goal?

they do make THC in pill form as a legally prescribed medication. It's perfectly legal because there is no high associated with the THC by itself. There are over 400 chemicals in a marijuana plant, THC is the biggest, but it's a combination of chemicals that causes the high. Not sure what peoples reactions to the pill are medically.

Well, theres a difference between Religion and Culture. But if you went along the with the culture thing, us middle eastern men also kill our daughters if they have sex before they are married.:p
