I like nothing more than locking up a car load full of maggots passing a blunt, but I have no qualms about the medical uses of marijuana. I have an uncle who had a brain hemorhage several years back and is in almost constant pain. He, like many other people, have become addicted to the morphine patch. But marijuana is the only thing that he can use and actually function.

Oregon Police Officers curse the marijuana law. It is so poorly written it is rediculous. If anyone read it, they would know how to get out of every MJ charge. My complaint is the quality of the writing of the law, not what the law does or does not accomplish.

Zendik, you don't even need to have the card. You could just say you intend to fill out the application and you are just as untouchable!!

There are some guys that over interpret the law. I arrested a guy who had 3 times as many plants as he was allowed to have and cited a portion of the law justifying it. Unfortunately, he wasa charged with Manufacturing which is a 'A' Felony here...the same as murder. MJ falls into the schedule I drug category. The man ended up pleading to possession which is still a felony. So the law is just as confusing to consumers.

If a person is caught with an amount consistent with personal use, it is a violation ticket. If he has a card, no charge. If someone starts a small grow, it is an 'A' felony, but if he has a card, no charge. But there are so mant knoock and crannies in there and with exceptions to the law that it is not nearly as cut and dry as I just stated. The law is pages long where most other laws are a paragraph or two. Seems they could rewrite it a little better, when they come down from their high. :D

It must suck to have to alter your mental state to practice your religion. I think that almost 99.9% of people who use cannabis for pain management are full of sh it. Because if you replaced THC with cannabidiol (CBD), another cannabinoid that has the same effect as THC without the mind altering effect, then they wouldn't take it and say that THC is better. For those who are genuine, don't get caught.
