    Dog the Bounty Hunter

Hi folks, I'm not a cop or a wannabe. I do watch tv. I was watching the dog and noticed he calls everyone 'bra'. What the heck is that? Do you guys call people 'bra'?

I may be old but 'bra' is what I tried to unhook.

What he is actually saying is ..." bro" as in brother. He just says it differently. And please do not idolize him, he is a bounty hunter , NOT a police officer.

If he came to me looking for a wanted person and said person was in NCIC , I would arrest the bad guy and I would incarcerate him. No way would I turn him over to a non LEO and no way would I help him. He ( they) are on their own. Just like the repo guys, we don't assist them in any way.

Idolize him? Nah. I was flipping channels between him and Andy Griffith. I think Barney is more competent.

They were however showing subtitles and 'bra' was the translation.

I just never heard anyone calling someone 'bra'.

    "Brah"

He lives part time in Hawaii and when he says "brah" it means friend or brother. The word is Hawaiian-English slang commonly spoken in Hawaii called Pidgeon. Other common Pidgeon words are:

"Howzit" meaning, "How is it going?"

    "Slippas" for sandals/flip-flops

"Wiki" meaning go quick or fast to hurry.

"Da 'Kine" This is the big one with many meanings all good. Hard to explain but it is a good thing.

This comes from living in Hawaii for 3 years.

That show is filmed in Hawaii. I think that is how they refer to one another "bra" (bro) and "sista".
Feel safe at night...sleep with a cop.

If you run, you only go to jail tired.

In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC.

He's a moron!! I was watching the other day as I flipped through channels and they got some skell but had to have the local popo there as per that states requirements. Well they caught the guy then spent five minutes jumping up and down screaming like some friggin high-schooler who just got laid! I was sooooo embarrased for the cops that were there standing side by side with them. TOooooooo much friggin drama for me!

Of course I should add that when I get arrest someone with a warrant I just look at it as more friggin paperwork I have to do! well, we don't hunt them down either, they come to us so maybe that makes all the difference :D
