Just because something is " legal" doesn't mean it is the best thing to do, especially for a future LE applicant. The cometition you will be facing is tough and you need everything you can to put your best foot forward for your testing /background and interview.
If an investigator asks if you have any illegal drugs , you might have to say yes. Do you really want to be in the position of trying to explain that " they were legal but now they aren't but I didn't buy them, I kept them from my last job etc. etc. etc."
Get rid of them and be done with it.
