prohormones illegal to TAKE after ban?

Hello, I used to work at a nutrition store. When the ban came for PH's to become illegal, we were allowed to take (NOT purchase) all of the bottles we had left b/c the companies would not offer a refund on them. I have had them for a while now and was wondering if it was illegal for me to take them? My logic is that the ban meant it was illegal to PURCHASE them after the ban, but not to take them afterwards...is this correct? I am applying in jan 07. I did not know if this was illegal or not, but either way, i dont think im going to take them (more hassle for me to have to explain it on my app. and in person)...but nonetheless, still curious about it.
    Thanks a lot,
    Biggerthanu

If you are truly interested in getting into Law Enforcement , you will take every bottle and dumpsterize it. The legality/illegality is a gray area so why intentionally put your future at risk. Just because something is " legal" doesn't mean it is the best thing to do, especially for a future LE applicant. The cometition you will be facing is tough and you need everything you can to put your best foot forward for your testing /background and interview.

If an investigator asks if you have any illegal drugs , you might have to say yes. Do you really want to be in the position of trying to explain that " they were legal but now they aren't but I didn't buy them, I kept them from my last job etc. etc. etc."

Get rid of them and be done with it.

Please, use the brain that God gave you and you should be able to figure out the answer to this question. If you have to ask, then you are probably doing something stupid.
