    Mock School Shooting

I got a call from my officer and fellow friend from the high scohol last friday. He said that this thursday at my school, 40 cops would participate in a mock terrorism/school shooting drill, and wanted to know if I would be the "columbine" type shooter. I pick ten friends (hostages) and thast all i really know about it. Just wondering if there was a protocol for how they do this nationwide, or how it will play out. Very excited and curious

    Thanks,
    Hunter

do your very best to PRETEND kill a cop. I hate war games where the blue team always wins.

I wonder if they will gimme a fake gun, and let me have a creative license. After all, its the cops that need to be prepared for anything. This is all sort of ironic seeing as how i want to be a cop someday, so this is like getting familliar with my inner-terrorist :p

It's called active shooter training. And From what I know, they don't just pick someone at random to be the target. It's someone who knows what they are supposed to do.

I highly doubt you are doing what you say you are.

I wouldnt fabricate this to gain fame or anything, if thats what you think. The officer that asked me to do this is a good friend of mine, and he knows how much im into law enforcement.

When I was an intern with a SO, I was picked to be a hostage. I had a good time with it. I am sure they will tell you what to do.

    Just remember...find your "motivation"...
Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.

Be sure to shoot a hostage.

Make sure they know you are serious!

Thanks for participating in this exercise. There is nothing better then training and hopefully you and your friends will make our job easier.

Take it seriously - the more you act like they want you too ... the more the cops will learn.

    Again, Thanks!
