Well since I haven't asked a question in a while here it goes:

What is your pet peeve on traffic stops?

What calls do you dread going to? Repetitive type calls and such but I wanna know stories :D

Lying: (1) telling me you haven't been drinking when I just observed you swurving and can smell the alcohol fumigating out of the car, (2) telling me the prescription pills I see on the console are your's and you have a proper prescription, but then are unable to produce it, (3) telling me you didn't know you were speeding/cutting somone off/running a redlight/whatever, when I and everyone one else in the area just saw it.

I hate being called "dawg, bro, boss, and sarge." None of them apply to me. Sir or officer is just fine. I don't walk up to your vehicle and say "Hey dawg, I stopped you for speeding." Mind your manners.

Also, I didn't stop you because you were black, white, gray, purple, or plaid. I wouldn't have stopped you without a good reason. Telling me you think I'm racially profiling you will earn you zero points. Accept some responsibility.

Don't tell me how to do my job.

"I wasn't speeding," implies I'm an idiot or a liar. You will get hammered.

"I want to see my speed on the RADAR," means you can ask the judge for it.

High beam violations.

NO insurance , especially when I have to make calls to PROVE them a liar.

Drunks.

I dislike going to domestics because it is usually nothing but two drunken idiots who are either yelling, screaming and or beating on each other with NO regard for their neighbors or their kids.

Pet peeves...in no particular order:
~ throwing cigarettes out of a moving vehicle
~ tailgaters
~ people parking in handicapped spaces (and aren't handicapped)
~ people parking in fire lane cuz they are too dang lazy to walk an
extra 30 feet from a parking spot
~ l hate being lied to
~ people who talk down to me like they are so much better than me

Mine are not using blinkers....especially if I am behind the vehicle and I about rear-end them.....

Kids not in car seats.....

All types of littering.....

Not having front license plates on their car......

Trying to argue about why you don't have front plates on your car....

Not having insurance...pisses me off that I have to pay it.....and others think they don't have to just because......

Lying to me....especially if I give you an out and you keep lying.....

Folks wanting to argue roadside (got to love in car cameras)....

:mad: Being told I am picking on someone becuase of their race, culture, their poor, whatever the excuse. I quickly tell them I am picking on them because they are an idiot who broke the law and I couldn't care if they were green with little antenna on their head, if they weren't speeding I wouldn't have stopped them.

Also, those idiots who think (despite them blowing a BAC of about 0.169 %) I just might believe them when they tell me they only had two or three beers over dinner. How big were your beers IDIOT? Were they kegs?


Being asked to sort out some pathetic disturbance created by two morons who are two chromosones short of being a retarded sloth, and they then want no further action (after I have just been boxing on with their other half at my personal risk to safety) or the other half having seen me spray and handcuff their violent "better half" then joins in to defend the POS who was beating them two minutes earlier. HELLO, I don't wan't to be here. You rang me. If you don't wan't my help, don't ring. Sort out your pathetic existence without my help.

On the back of our cars we have big stickers saying "000 (like 911) - Think before you dial." Try it. It might actually work. Thinking is not just for those who have jobs you know.

Oh and rich snobs who think they are above the law. I am waiting for a court notice from a guy who is contesting a $160.00 fine for crossing a double white line. He got the fine after I chose not to caution him for driving like a tool, when he chose to be an arrogant, rude, tool, who thought he was above me because he earnt more etc etc. I took his atitude to mean, "will not respond to caution." He is now choosing to spend thousands on lawyers instead paying the damn fine. Not my money.

I am vented now. That is all.:D

Also for the tailgating issue. My easy solution is use your windshield wipers with the fluid. It takes care of the problem i'd say 80% of the time

Where to begin:
- People who say that dont know why I pulled them over.
- International Drivers Liscense, No insurance, and expired tags (an everyday issue around here)
- Everything people already said


The calls I dread going to is Domestics that bring kids into the picture inorder to gain remorse.

Such as today, I recieve a domestic call and I show up and the wife is complaining about her husband and use a 8 year old as a witness. The kid says that, "I can VERIFY everything my mom said." when your going to rehearse what your kid is going to say at least use words they understand.

And

Calls that are civil NOT criminal
