Why do cops cover name tags with tape?

It's a long story but in order to make it short, I'll just give a brief.
Almost a year ago my daughter was stopped for tail light. Cop said she was DUI. She wasn't but couldn't pee in front of someone so was charged. Breathalizer was .o. She was accused of being on drugs, etc. Her so-called court appointed lawyer advised her to plead no contest. She did and got a years probation and lost her license. All of her drug test over the year showed nothing.
Admittedly, she did continue to do a limited amount od driving during the year. Her and husband are farmers and it was hard to avoid with three kids and being in the country.
She was released from probation a week ago. She was eligable to get her license back on the 19th.
Three days ago she drove the three miles to pick up son after sports practice. When she pulled back into her drive the county sheriff and several other cops, plus DHS worker were waiting.
She called husband on cell but by the time he got there, they had arrested her for driving while suspended and again said she was DUI. She again passed the breathalizer but couldn't pee for them.
They again threw her in jail, tested her husband, who could pee for them and tested clear, and told DHS to take the three kids because it was to dangerous for them at my daughters house.
No drugs were found anywhere!! ALL OF THE COPS HAD THEIR NAME TAGS COVERED WITH BLACK TAPE! WHY?
They spent quite a bit of time telling her that if she would wear a wire and try to buy drugs from a list of different people, everything would dissappear and she would get her kids back! She knew a few of the people on the list (people she had went to school with and still spoke to) but not many of them.
She was told the same thing a year ago and refused! This time they took her three kids though! My grandchildren!
Now, we're waiting to see what's going to happen from here.
My wife took my daughter for her probation appointments all year. She took her shopping and spent all kinds of time with her and the kids. I, myself, spent lots of time there. We know that she has not been messing with drugs and all her drug test show it.
What the hell is going on and how do we put a stop to it?

Get a lawyer. A good one this time.
