    Nashville Metro

Any Nashville Metro police here? I'm currently in Chattanooga and was looking at the Nashville Metro page. From the looks of it, your PD pays almost $10,000 more a year than the city here!! I have 3 questions:

    - Do you have to ride solo or with a partner?
    - What is the usual shift rotation for patrol?
    - How long do you have to be on patrol before you could apply to a unit?

I tried looking as hard as I could on this and couldn't find info.
    Any help is appreciated.

We have a Nashville Airport LEO on here. I am sure he can answer your questions or find answers to them when he sees this thread....

Most MNPD officers ride solo. Of all the ones I ever backed up near the airport, I never came across a pair of them, unless it was FTO/Rook. Last I had heard, the bike guys still rode in pairs.

Shifts for the most part are 8 hrs 6a-2pm (A detail), 2p-10p (B detail), and 10p-6a (C detail).

Not sure about the hours for the traffic division, but DUI enforcement (last I heard) is 8pm - 4am.

I think the hours for the FLEX units vary also.

I'm not sure about the time in before appyling for special teams, but I will ask.

It is good pay, but man do they stay busy. PM me if you need more info.
