you have to use common sense about knife blade lengths. do you know how many fishermen i could have hooked up for filet knives?
Now, now.....a person engaged in lawful hunting, FISHING or other sporting activity, or while traveling between home and the activity, who has an illegal knife that is commonly used in that activity is exempt from 46.02. ;)

i suppose you remove your tackle box every time you complete a fishing trip?

during the winter, i used to see a lot of big gut hook knives. during the summer, you see a lot of filet knives. i always kept a fishing rod and a shotgun behind the back seat along with my other tools for those occasions where i would have a little time to kill on a nice evening.

    HAHA!! RIGHT ON BRO!!!

And no you don't charge someone with an illegal knife offense if it's not on or about their person. Switchblades, however are different since it's a prohibited weapon. That's just BS and should get tossed in the DA's office.

I put this together a while back to give some sorta refrence as to what a DIRK, or a stilletto is ( which is NOT something that goes on a womans leg in this case ), and in general. Most cops that I know didn't know that a throwing star is an illegal knife..
