If you commit a crime in one county, but live in another county, do the police in the first county have any power to do anything about it because they live in a different county. Answer would be appreciated

If you come into my town....commit a crime....then go to another town in another county, I can swear a warrant out on you, have it signed by a Judge, and have any Law Enforcement Officer arrest you on the warrant....
Where police live is irrelevant.Originally Posted by therealmel

So this is your first post, huh? In essence, a question about extradition and how you can avoid it. No, "Hi, my name is"......nothing. So, therealme, what's the reasoning behind your question? What did your "friend" do? Or is this some of homework assignment? Don't tell me, you saw it on CSI and it really got you to thinking. No.......how about, you did a little something in Mexico and are afraid you may get send back to a Mexican jail. Trust Big, you don't want to go to jail in Mexico, no one wants to go to jail in Mexico.Originally Posted by therealmel
