Looking for some videos...

I was wondering if anyone could help me find some videos of interrogations or interviews conducted by police or anyone really that you think would help me out. Obviously, I am only looking for stuff that can legally be released to the public, etc.

What I am trying to do is put into practical application my observation of a person's overall body language. Ideally, it would have a good shot of the face but also a good view of the whole body with no table obstructing views of the lower body. It would also be nice if background information can be given on whether or not it was found if this person was telling the truth or lying in the situation. I would like this information so that I can compare my own observations and conclusions to what actually happend in the situation.

Please feel free to provide links or suggestions to other sources of literature or media that could be of use to me in working on improving these skills.

Oh...big love to anyone that can get me hooked up with footage of O.J being interrogated :D. Not sure if it was videotaped or audio only, but I currently have a transcript of it and I just want to see his body language during the "interrogation".

The ultimate question is why on earth are you actually wanting to do this? The second part is that interogation tapes are not released to the public in any way shape or form. Atleast not in KS. You will just have to go to the academy to see them.

The main reason I want to do this is so that I can begin to learn how to read people from a police perspective and get a better handle on the skill and improve on it. So that when it happens to me in real life situations I am better prepared to know whats going on, if that makes sense. And basically, I have a new toy that I want to play with :D.

I wasn't sure if any interogation videos were let out or not. I could certainly understand why in many situations they wouldn't be, but figured why not ask. The problem with seeing them in the academy is that we are done with the course after spending only 1 day on it, if even that long really.

Perhaps instead you can give me ideas on interviews that would be helpful for me to look at. I was skimming around the TV for some but It was hard to know if I was reading things right without knowing the answer to check against.

Okay, now that I realise how crazy I am coming off scratch the whole police interrogations thing. I wasn't entirely sure the policy on that or if it was availible etc, I just know I have seen 1 or 2 in the academy (self sponsored academy) as well as crime scene footage etc and I wasn't sure.

I will gladly settle for help finding any interviews where you know the person is lying etc.

You will only see them in the academy or back at the station. They are not to be released to the public.

Yes, I do understand. Which is why I am no longer asking for anything police specific. I am simply asking, now, for something that is available to the public.

For example, tonight there was an interview on CNN with a supreme court justice. I was watching that and reading some of his body language, but it was hard to with that interview since I did not know the truth about what he was saying and I couldn't see more of his body language. I also, later, was watching another interview on local television from local merchants and could pick up real well on body language, just lacked knowledge on what was the truth for sure and not etc.

Again, nothing LE specific...just an interview you may have seen on the Internet that you could link me to, or any stations you could recommend.

Ok I am going to say this once and for all There is nothing for public viewing that you are wanting. It will not, can not and shall not happen If you do not understand this then you should probably rethink your career choice. In this career you should have understood the first time we told you the same thing we have now told you numerous times.

PM me....there is some public books out there by a guy I took a I/I class with that you could use....that you could use.

As everyone else has said, I/I tapes are not going to be out in the public. If you really want to figure stuff like this out, buy/read the book that I am going to suggest then get on Fox or CNN and watch interviews with folks.....it's amazing what you will see....

And before anyone tries to jump my ***, if you take some psych classes or read the right material, you can figure this stuff out. It's not rocket science......
