Guys I was wondering what kind of gloves you guys wear, if any. I'm looking at the Mechanix M-Pact gloves in all black.
Thanks in advance,
Justin

I found that these work quite well. The second set works better in the winter time.Originally Posted by JSam21

I wear Hatch's regular unlined leather duty gloves.
Only wear gloves when I'm touching someone bloody (and then surgical gloves). I bought two pairs of frisk type gloves, but the size just isn't right. Besides that I try not to touch anyone I don't have to, especially dirty homeless drunks and people with aids.

I would highly suggest that anyone that wears gloves on duty practice shooting (even qualifying) while wearing them.

I have Hatch search gloves (forget the model). They have spectra & leather, and go for about $40 or so. To keep warm I have leather gloves with thinsulate. To deal with aided cases I have the non-latex rubber glvoes. They're supposed to be a little stronger, and better at keeping stuff out.

Friskmaster are the best ones I have owned. It is hard to get the size just right, so I usually go and try on several pair before purchasing. Some guys order -send them back -order again and so on.

Hatch KSG500 Kevlar shooters. I can't find them on Hatch's site anywhere, but I LOVE THEM. I used to use the unlined specialists, but I found they didn't breath very well, due to the synthetics of the palm. These gloves don't offer quite the dxterity of the Specialist, but they DO offer a very thin Kevlar lined back of the and area, and I can still type on an MDT with em (I'm gloved up for 95% of my shift). They're pretty cut resistant. That's where it is ESSENTIAL to have the protection, as opposed to the palm (IMO). And they're not too expensive either...about $25 as opposed to $35+ for other ones.
