Well, I took my polygraph exam yesterday...and, to be honest (no pun intended), it was like going to the dentist!
I was forthcoming and honest (as instructed). At the end of the exam, the examiner said (quote), "Well, you exhibited a pattern of truthfulness...but that is only my tentative--with a capital 'T'--analysis. There were a couple of spots where your breathing was ill-timed. I need to go back and look at it more closely. You should have your answer by Friday."
OUCH!! Now, I'm like all nervous! Is this normal protocol? I was under the impression that I would have a more definitive answer the same day--isn't that the norm or am I getting all worked up about nothing?
I think the more cumbersome thing for me was the breathing apparatus that was on my chest. It was a bit snug and made me so aware of my breathing that it was almost impossible to ignore...
Interested in your thoughts/answers (from your past experiences and professional experience)!
