Young lady, just call the local police department who has jurisdiction over where this alleged incident occurred. Ask to speak to someone in sex crimes. Tell them your story and take it from there.
When I was assigned in homicide, I heard some of our Person Crimes detectives talking about investigating sexual crimes that had occurred several years prior. They were not exactly happy about it, but there is a duty to investigate allegations.
Some officers on here naturally doubt the veracity of your complaint. Can’t blame them for that, people lie all the time.
Some may doubt the level of maturity and intelligence displayed that caused you to leave the jurisdiction without fully reporting a sexual crime to the local authorities. You can’t really blame them for that.
On the other hand, let’s work off the premise for a moment that you factually possess information that may lead to the arrest of a serial sexual offender. You would be remiss in not contacting the local authorities. There may be a detective just waiting for a call like this to break a case wide open.
Now, unless the local police and Sheriff’s Office in your area are totally incompetent, I would suspect one of them called the police covering the incident bailiwick and sent them a copy of the report you said you filed with them. That would be standard procedure from a professional agency.
If you were indeed the victim of a sexual offense, you deserve full cooperation from law enforcement. If there is an ulterior motive by you, you deserve the full attention of law enforcement.
Coming onto an internet site with a story such as yours is not the proper way to get answers to your questions. There will be understandable suspicion that you are a nut or a troll.
So, in closing, call the agency who would have law enforcement jurisdiction and don’t submit yourself to embarrassment here by unclear, confusing and illogical questions.
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
