My neighbor put up an extention to the exsiting fence along the side of my driveway they had to remove my gate in order to do this I have already filed a complaint with the city becausse the fence is against code but I do not know how long that will take I have a dog and now he has to be chained in my back yard If I want my dog to run I have to buy a new gate to fit the driveway is there anything I can do have they done anything wrong by removing my gate to put up the fence

Use a period at the end of a sentence. Your message should have been broken down into several sentences instead of one long sentence.

Who actually owns the original fence that your neighbor put the extention on and whose property is it on? If it was your fence he has a problem. If it was his then I am not sure you have many options.

Your fence issue is all civil matter. I actually had a call a week or two ago for this exact same thing. Even if the fence is a community fence as they call them here in my area. Community fence being one where you as a group decide to put up a fence and you all each pay your share to have the fence put up. It is still a civil matter, why because there is nothing criminal about it.
