Tips for my interview tomorrow?--Its between me and one other!:)

The chief seems like a pretty good guy. He informed me that its between myself and a guy who's had academy training. --Its the first department that i've applied to, and its a smaller department. If I decide somewhere down the line that i'd like to go to a larger department, is it difficult to transfer?

    Thanks

I'm a bit confused. Do you want tips for the interview with the chief, or to know whether you can transfer to a larger department?

    Sorry-
(my mind is going 90 to nothing!)

I guess I just didn't realize that i'd be considered so quickly. I'm excited about my opportunity, and know that i'd really love working with this smaller department, and I want to get hired by this chief. --It just happened so quickly that i guess i'm trying to make sure that i've thought of everything- (transfer is actually irrelevant)

    Thanks

So you want tips for the interview with the chief, right? Well, follow these simple steps:

    1. Pray the night before
    2. Dress in a business suit
    3. Show up early
    4. Smile, make good eye contact, laugh at the chief's lame jokes, and appear both friendly and enthusiastic about the position.
    5. Regardless of the decision, don't give up if working in LE is what you truly desire.

    Good luck.

    Great advice. I will add

    6. You are selling yourself, do you know your benefits to them if they hire you?

    7. ASK FOR THE JOB. I have interviewed people who never asked me to hire them, so I didn't.
