    Question Police Certificate & Clearence

    Hello

I basically originate from India and was in Cincinnati, Ohio for about 9 months. Working out of Evendale.

Right now I am in India and planning to apply for permanent Immigration to Canada. One of the criteria for Canadian Immigration is, if i have stayed in any other country apart from my birth country for more than 6 months a "Police Certificate & Clearence" is required. Since i have stayed in US, Ohio for more than 6 months i would required this certificate.

I have written to the police department of Evendale, either the mail does not reach them or no one is repsponding.

Please can you let me know whom do i touchbase to get this certificate.

    Thank you ...mahendra jadhav

I'm not entirely sure what this certificate is, but it sounds like a basic criminal record/background check. To get one of these, all you have to do is go down to the nearest police station (doesn't matter which one) and ask the dispatcher, secretary, whoever's at the front desk. You'll have to fill out a info sheet with your name, age, etc., as well as provide usually two pieces of ID. You'll most likely have to pay a fee, then wait for no more than 24 hours, and pick it up. It's that simple. Good luck.

I agree go down in person. If you sent that request to a department down here they would not know what you were asking for.
