    Ford 500

Have any of you seen if there is a Ford 500 in Police trim? I get behind one today that was blacked out and had two small rectangular LED lights either side of the hi-mount brakelight. The LEDs were clear so I couldn't tell what color they were.

And, what's the question? Are you asking if any of the LEO's have seen one? Strange question. Of course, we have!

The question is "Is there a Ford 500 in police trim?". I'm wondering if this was a one-off or maybe a voluteer firefighter etc. Or can we expect to see Ford 500's with lightbars soon...

They have been put thru the paces for DHS, but we are creatures of habit, and prone to stupidity. So, even if they shine in tests, our powers that be will hem and haw over to purchase them or not.
FYI, NYSP pals of mine have done drives in them, and they really like them, mostly the braking. The 500 is not going to impress you all that much from the Police Package Interceptor Crown Vics. The power displacement is noticed at the top end rather than the intitial stomp of gas pedal to floor. Why? Rear end gears are similar, and the tork produced is the same. Honestly, I drive a 2004 Crown Vic, and it scoots ***! When that Krispy Kreme sign lights off with "Hot Donuts" I am sooo there! Oh don't act like some of you don't go there too!
