    Work Records

    I may be getting a job at the PD of my town, and the open job right now is to work records... I am just wondering what this entails (I know it has to do with records), and if anyone thinks it may help give me more insight on becoming an LEO.

    The Custodian of Records is responsible for maintaining, filing, and disbursing the police reports that come in from the field. It also is responsible for tracking trends for submission to the FBI (statistics). You'll stay busy and it's a job with the city (or County/State). You'll get to know people who may have influence in the hiring process for Police Officer. It's a good step.
