Never seen or heard of courtesy badge in TN. Plenty of those "I support so and so PD" stickers on the vehicles though. If someone throws out a badge at me and they're not a commissioned LEO, minimum a traffic cite. ;)

I stopped a guy one day for speeding 60/45 zone. He immedialtely reminded me that he had donated money to our police association. I advised him that we appreciate the donation but he wasn't buying an insurance policy.
