    Agressive drivers

 What do you Officers do if anything when you're off duty and a driver gets so close to your rear bumper you can't see their plates, then procede to cut you off and give you the finger?

That happened to me today and nothing makes me more angry than agressive drivers. This female driver in her little volkswagon with tinted windows. GRRRR

    Was she pretty? :D
Best thing to do is move over and let her pass, in the long run nothing's worth the hassle, the insurance premiums, the vehicle repairs, injury claims etc etc.

    I do the smart thing!
SMile...give the old Italian salute back after they pass (justto make myself feel better) and if they are driving crazy, call 911 and give a plate, script and direction of flight. Thee go on my way. Sometimes I laugh as I pass them on the side of the road with a fellow officer getting written up.

Road rage is not worth getting involved in. I drive 1 hour 30 minutes each way. I can't afford to get stressed out on the drive.....
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.

If I am in the leftmost lane, I get out of the way, regardless of my speed since that lane is intended for passing, and that is what they are trying to do. If I see someone coming up on me considerably faster than I am moving, I will be out of the lane long before they can be anywhere near me. If I am in any other lane, I adjust my speed for safety, and maintain double the safe distance from the car in front of me to compensate for their unsafe following. If I can't see their plates, they cant see my brake lights (except the cyclops one in the middle) so braking is done slowly. Usually dropping to 54 in a 55 zone is enough to make them change lanes.

Funny, I don't seem to see many aggressive drivers. Then again I'm in a 4x4 3/4 ton ford with a HUGE plate metal winch bumper on the front.:D
Don't try and outweird me, I find weirder things than you in my breakfast burrito.

Just ignore them and drive the EXACT speed limit. If they really get out of hand, call 911.
