Actually, I love 99% of this job. The most irritating aspects change from day to day, but usually surround the theme of handling mundane problems that people should be able to handle themselves. (Stupid People Problems SPP)
Another area is putting your life on the line to protect someone that got himself into the issue. i.e. responding to a shootout between drug dealers. (More SPP)
And finally, the politics of the Job. Administrations have a tough job of making the fickle community happy. Officers have a very good idea of what types of problems are in their beats. But the administration has a different agenda and rarely, if ever, consults with the field officers about problems they face in the community. Many decisions are made without properly analyzing all of the information (knee-jerk reactions), which becomes very frustrating to the officer.
But overall it's the BEST job in the world!!!!TPDHellhound

The politics, ****ty bosses, scumbags getting off at court when they are 100% bang to rights, seeing innocent people suffering at the hands of scumbags to name just a few.
