    English police radio code: IC1/ I see one

    I hear this all the time on shows about English police. I don't kno whether it is IC1 or I see one. You often hear a phrase like "IC1/I see one Male"

    I just wondered is anyone could shed any light on it.

    IC codes are to describe a persons appearance,
    IC1 male would decsribe a white male person,
    1C3 male a male person of affro carribean appearance
    each IC number relates to different appearances.

    IC= Identification code.

    1= White

    2= Dark skinned european

    3= Black

    4= Asian (indian)

    5= Chinese/Japanese/oriental.

    6= Arabic appearance.
