Another "What are the chances of getting in" post.

So lets say that someone is has been a Criminal Justice major for about 3.5 years now and that they have done a couple ride alongs and been in contact with a big city police dept. However, they have had a bad past... Using multiple drugs many times. A lot of the drugs are what most of you would probably consider "hard" drugs. So the police dept. doesn't have a poly and realllly needs help because of the horrible crime problem and lack of LEO's in the area.

What do you think the chances are that they get in? This person have been clean for over 1.5 years (yes not that long but they will never do drugs including alcohol again) and really wants to be a LEO.

Before a lot of people start posting that there is no integrity if this person doesn't say anything during the hiring process about the drug use or that they aren't cut out to be a LEO... let me say one thing.... People make mistakes. Not everyone's life is the same and some live hard lives and others don't. People deserve second chances. Thanks and be nice, this is my first post!
