Ours is SRT. I weight about 50-60 lbs more with all my gear. Its not too bad until your running in it, or have had it on all day.
Its all fun and games 'till someone puts out an eye. Then its just fun.

We have SRTs at the district level. Our national team is Special Operations Group. THe weight can vary greatly on the mission and the operator's specialty. General operations will get you 40-60lbs.

We don't have SWAT teams. We pretty much do all of our on entries so everyone is trained in it. We do have Clandestine Lab Entry Teams (CLET) but it is a collateral duty. In the office I am in now, due to the large number of meth labs we have, all but two or three guys (including me) are CLET trained. I've just been waiting for a good time to go through the training. It seems like someone is going off to Quantico for CLET training, recertification, or advanced CLET training, every time I turn around.

I've never weighed the gear. But, take normal SWAT gear, add the air bottles (about the same size as a SCUBA tank), respirators, and chemical protection suits, and you get the idea. At the advanced tactical traing, they have agents practice raid techniques all day with all the gear on. In the summer, it is brutal.
