criminal justice issues

I have a short 5 page paper to write for my ehtics class on a criminal justice issue, and then give the pros and cons of the issue, and then I have to choose a position and then justify it. I didn't want to do the normal death penalty or something like that. I was thinking about doing it over the use of tasers in LE. What are some issues that are out there that most non-LE professionals, might not now about.
