Stage 1 Complete....THANK YOU!!!

First of all, THANK YOU to all Verified LEO's for all the helpful advise. I had my written & PAT last night.

We had a classroom of about 8 people & only 2 of us were trying for Reserve Officer. I'll admit, there were some interesting people in there. I can't believe I saw full beards, long shaggy gotees, earings, a guy wearing a hat, an overweight guy (which did not pass the PAT) & a few other interesting guys. I think I was the only guy in there that had a wife & kids too. I felt a little old with all those young guys, but the important thing was my ability on the PAT.

I feel really good about the written. It was supposed to take 2 1/2 hours & I monitored the time & took almost the entire time to make sure everything was done complete & correctly. I was the last one in there...is that a bad thing?

Then we did the PAT & you had 3:23 to complete the course & I completed in 3:06. The hardest part was wearing a 10 lb vest. I think I could have done better if I didn't start out so hard & fast. I didn't pace myself properly, trying to get it done FAST. By the end, I was huffing! But I did it & they said good job!

Outside of that one question, the main thing I really wanted to say to all Verified LEO's, is THANK YOU. You made the process a lot easier & I knew what to expect when I walked in & had no surprises. The Internet is a WONDERFUL thing.

As long as you were there on time, and did well on the test, no worries. Keep up the pace and good luck with the remainder of the process.
