First of all, THANK YOU to all Verified LEO's for all the helpful advise. I had my written & PAT last night.
We had a classroom of about 8 people & only 2 of us were trying for Reserve Officer. I'll admit, there were some interesting people in there. I can't believe I saw full beards, long shaggy gotees, earings, a guy wearing a hat, an overweight guy (which did not pass the PAT) & a few other interesting guys. I think I was the only guy in there that had a wife & kids too. I felt a little old with all those young guys, but the important thing was my ability on the PAT.
I feel really good about the written. It was supposed to take 2 1/2 hours & I monitored the time & took almost the entire time to make sure everything was done complete & correctly. I was the last one in there...is that a bad thing?
Then we did the PAT & you had 3:23 to complete the course & I completed in 3:06.The hardest part was wearing a 10 lb vest. I think I could have done better if I didn't start out so hard & fast. I didn't pace myself properly, trying to get it done FAST. By the end, I was huffing! But I did it & they said good job!

Outside of that one question, the main thing I really wanted to say to all Verified LEO's, is THANK YOU. You made the process a lot easier & I knew what to expect when I walked in & had no surprises. The Internet is a WONDERFUL thing.
Stay safe & be blessed,
Rich
