    Case law

Ya'll already knew this, but I just found out tonight that I must become an expert on case law that affects law enforcement directly. We were given about 5 different cases that we need to become familiar with. Well, where in the world do I find this stuff? And, how do I know if a particular case is pertinent to law enforcement?

Is there a book, "Case Law for the Complete Idiot" out there at Amazon.com or something?

Since we don't have as much class time as the full time academy, much of our learning is on our own, so I really need some help.

    Thanks

O.K. NOW I'M OVERWHELMED!! First of all, thank you tx, but Wow that is a lot of info. Now what?

Do I just dive into the middle somewhere, start reading and hope I find something good? I have no idea where to begin here.

Well first, you need to decide what specific cases you are looking for (or at least what types of cases such as search and seizure cases, etc.) Once you know exactly what you are looking for, you can simply plug the queries into a search bar and off you go.
