Criminal Justice Degree (Online or Classroom)

Hi, im still in high school. I want to be a cop and im sure thats what ill be. I want a criminal justice degree..im not sure if i want a Bachelors or a Associates. I am thinking about doing an online thing to get my degree. I guess its the same..just Online. Can anyone give me some Opinions to if a online CJ Associates, or Bachelors degree is just as good as a classroom Degree. Thanks In Advance!

Although a degree in CJ is okay (online or otherwise, as long as it is from an accredited university), but you might do better taking a different major. You will get all the CJ you need in an academy when the time comes. With a degree in business, or something else, you will broaden your knowledge, and you never know when it will come in handy!

I second Old Trooper, get a degree in psychology or sociology or even public administration. Anyway that you can make your application different from the others is a big plus.
As long as the school is accredited, no one will care if it’s online or not, go for 4 years.

Take some classes at a community college first so you get the feeling for what the expectations of college are. Any reputable program will require college level work which is much different than high school material. That having been said, the college experience is just that. Some might look higher on a candidate who went to classes and socialized as opposed to someone who stayed home and worked on the computer. Just something to think about.
My wife left me alone with a case of Corona, a bag of limes and the cat. Beer is gone. What will I do with the extra limes and the cat?

Since I run an online criminal justice department, I can answer any questions you have via a PM. Our school has degrees in other fields too, so if interested, send me a PM.
