Very Simple "how will it affect me" thread..

Hi All,

I personally am interested in a LE Career (I will be taking a "Police Alliance Test" in a few days to check eligibility for about 20 local departments) but my question lies in a situation that I recently had.

Today I was pulled over / ticketed for lack of state inspection. Circumstances aside (I am not going to come up with excuses as to why I was driving uninspected, it was my fault for having to use a vehicle that wasn't), how will my "inspection record" affect me in my quest for this new career? The reason I am asking is because it's the second ticket I've receieved in the last 5 years of driving (I am nearing 21). Other moving violations include I believe to be only one speeding ticket.

I thank you all in advance for any answers, and I also appologize in advance if this is a really silly question! :D

An inspection sticker? Bwahahahaha... get it inspected, then get it dropped.

No ill effect to your pursuit in LE.

At least in TN, registration/inspection violations are dropped in traffic court when you bring in the proper documentation stating that the vehicle is now legit. ;)

Most equipment violations are dismissed, if you get them taken care of prior to the court date

Not in Maine they're not, lol. Stays on your record for 11 years. Everything from an inspection sticker, to a platelight. I know...kind of harsh.

My driver's history is slightly worse than you describe, and I didn't have any problems (Highway Patrol may have been a different story).
