Out of curiosity (purely curiosity),
Is statutory rape considered sexual misconduct?
Thanks.

Juliet-
While statutory rape is certainly misconduct of a sexual nature, in Missouri, we have a separate crime of "sexual misconduct" that is different than Statutory Rape.
Hope that helps,

Yes, it does help.
Thank you Citicop.
I'm sorry and I certainly don't mean to be blunt...well, yes I do. That is the dumbest question I have ever seen on here. WTF?? You asked a question and answered it in one post. HELLO!!!Originally Posted by TheLivingJuliet
Pardon me for perhaps seeming even more stupid to ask but...how so? Sexual misconduct, under legal definition, does not list sex with an underage person as part.Originally Posted by Star
Even though, (as Citicop said), statutory rape is misconduct of a sexual nature.
Sexual misconduct is just what it describes. Sexual misconduct. And I would think..know that what you describe is included. Sorry to be so blunt but that's me.
Personally, I avoid having sex with minors and farm animals, that way I avoid any accusations of sexual misconduct.....I realize you are Canadian so farm animals may be okay, but I'd still stay away from minors if I were you.

I just wanted it cleared up.
Ummm hmmmm, I think I knew that. Thank you for clearing it up. What department are you applying for? I know, I am a *****. Welcome to Law Enforcement. :DOriginally Posted by TheLivingJuliet
With the majority of the people I have met who are attracted to the job, I have no interest in law enforcement or anything pertaining to it.
It was simply a question.
Ok, whatever, bye.Originally Posted by TheLivingJuliet

In Oregon, lack of consent also includes age. The age of consent is 18 here. And it doesn't have to be an acquaintance or a stranger, it can be a family member. Where did you find that definition?Originally Posted by TheLivingJuliet
