One other good reason not to get a former squad car is way too many of them have been in accidents. If it's less expensive then retiring the car, the'll fix it.

Unlike private cars where you can find a carfax or other report that could give you a clue the've been in an accient, with govt cars you really won't find those records and unless you give the car the top down white glove you'll miss the problems.
