Ho no... Not another CHL thread... LOL :D

We are not carrying home Alael... I mean I'm from Canada.. So it's not exactly the answer to your question right?
Just wanted to share that down here we leave our sidearm at the station for most of us. Detectives are usually expected to carry it home... but I do not know of any that would carry it while off duty.

Quebec cops are not prohibited to bring their sidearm home.. but we have strict rules that prohibit us from wearing partially any part of our uniform. This means... nobody would be aloud to carry their handgun if not wearing the complete uniform.
Disciplinary action would be taken against members breaking that rule...

I've spent the last 12 years on the job... without ever feeling the need to bring my Glock home... My job is one thing... Off duty... I don't want to see my gun.
I'm a dedicated officer but not to the point of sleeping with the job!

Of course... as you will see ... Most LEO in US carry home.. it's a different story... They have their reasons behind it... I've learned them in other thread...
Get your VERIFIED LEO from DC Law and you will understand better! :D

Against invading troops as well as our own government who most people don't trust.

I carry my gun all the time. I have a bunch at home as well. Police are not subject to any of the restrictions citizens in my state face with carrying a handgun. With the new federal law we can carry nationwide concealed as well. Guns are a huge part of our culture (the good and the bad). In most states citizens can carry handguns concealed. One citizen recently died in a gunfight with a crazed man who just shot his wife and child, the maniac was later killed by police in a gunfight. The citizen was credited with saving the life of the adult child who the man was about shoot again but didn't due to the intervention of the armed citizen.

I carried off duty long before 218 came into law, I just didn't carry into any surrounding state except MAryland which always allowed us to anyway.

I can take my duty weapon home but I would rather leave it at work, that way I won't forget to bring it with me

I carry my personal off duty to work and everywhere else.

hey, me too! i don't carry my duty gun home. in fact, it's still in my locker in the holster at work. i just don't see the point in taking it home. do i really need it? i mean, it just seems like overkill right?

afterall, i have so much more to rely on at home...

I LOVE THAT picture! Nice collection. Is that a G3 or a CETME under the FAL?
